“Government policies should encourage the commercialization of alternative fuels that can be used in the existing infra- structure: cellulosic ethanol and biodiesel/ renewable diesel. Both of these fuels could be intro- duced more quickly and effi- ciently if they achieve cost advantages from the utilization of waste products as feedstocks.
