SYNTEC'S CATALYST RESULTS VALIDATED BY INDEPENDENT THIRD PARTY

VANCOUVER, CANADA, January 7, 2010 - Syntec Biofuel Inc. (Syntec) (OTC BB: SYBF)is pleased to report that Dr Kevin J. Smith head of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada has provided Syntec with a report based on the preliminary catalyst activity measurements that UBC made using one of Syntec's catalysts. Dr Smith states that "(sic. the results) compare favorably to data reported independently by Syntec Biofuel Inc". Dr Smith further states that "Good agreement between the Syntec and UBC product distribution data was observed". UBC is a highly respected academic institute that is doing extensive research and development in chemical engineering.
