BEYOND THE GAS TANK

Did you buy a bottle of water today? Use a computer? Wash your hands?

Most people don't realize that our dependency on oil goes far and beyond the gas tank. In fact, oil derived chemicals and alcohols can be found in many of the products that help us function in our everyday lives. From the carpet in your home to the shampoo you use to wash your hair, oil has played a part in almost every step of its development, production, and delivery. Scary isn't it?

Biofuels can play a bigger role in our lives than we think. Contrary to popular belief, biofuels are not limited to simply fueling cars and other forms of transportation. Virtually all of the chemicals currently derived from 'dirty' fuels (such as oil and coal) can just as readily be produced from renewable feedstock utilizing clean technologies like Syntec's. Replacing these dirty chemicals with their clean counterparts' means we can do something good for our environment - without having to sacrifice our industries and the products we need.
